You are in front of the sculpted Hutsuls gate, which is part of the first museum collection set in Chernivtsi in the 30s. As constructive elements, the gate includes three posts, on which the main beam is placed; on top of the beam the shingle roof is assembled. The narrow entrance, with a wicket gate, is meant for pedestrian access and the large one, with a two-leaf gate, for carriage access. The wicket gate and the two-leaf gate are built under the shape of a continuous and dense field of planks, with a profiled upper side, which is specific for the sub-mountainous and mountainous area of Bucovina. The posts and arch are adorned with floral ornaments. In the central upper side, there is a representation symbolizing the solar disk.
